Why hill-station pool construction is different
A pool built for the plains doesn't survive a Himachal winter. Frost heave cracks unreinforced shells, a sloping plot needs retaining and drainage work most contractors never budget for, and material and machinery access on narrow hill roads changes the whole programme — a job that takes eight weeks in Zirakpur can easily run longer in Kasauli or Kufri once you account for site access and weather windows.

Indoor and semi-indoor pools are the norm rather than the exception here, since the outdoor season is short — which means heating, insulation and dehumidification have to be designed in from day one, not added afterwards. Sauna and steam rooms are also a far more common request in Himachal than anywhere else we build, usually going in alongside the pool as one combined wet-deck project.
